Randonnee-Morgon-Hautes-Alpes

-> UNSPOILED NATURE : at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, the town of Embrun is surrounded by peaks reaching 3000m in altitude and offers magnificent hikes and walks for everyone : on foot, by mountain bike, on horseback or on donkey back.

Hiking and trail running enthusiasts can indulge their passion with sporty trails in the mountain pastures, crossing the peaks in search of the coolness of a high-altitude lake or one of the many waterfalls.

Families will also find what they are looking for in the forest with accessible and fun paths such as the riparian forest of Petit Liou, on the other side of the dike, 10 minutes from the campsite, with its observation posts on stilts allowing you to observe the fauna of this wetland.

-> NAUTICAL ACTIVITIES : with its fresh turquoise waters, Lake Serre Ponçon offers a multitude of nautical activities

Thanks to an almost daily thermal breeze, it is the ideal place to learn or improve your sailing skills. Take advantage of our on-site French sailing school and 2 points rental of nautical equipment (a base on the lake side for children from 4 years old & beginners and a base on the Serre Ponçon lake side, on the campsite beach, for adults).

Find our neighbor on the other side of the plan d'eau, Embrun Canoe Kayak Club to do a kayaking course or a rafting trip down the Durance.

Aquaparc-Embrun

-> LEISURE : at the Serre Ponçon Alpine Nautical Club, you are at the edge of the pedestrian path which makes the tour of the plan d'eau of Embrun. This leisure center, just a stone's throw from the campsite, offers a wide variety of activities, including the aquapark, the largest inflatable water park in Serre Ponçon.

You will also find the mini-golf and its unique course to spend quality time with the family or the children's merry-go-round, the trampoline, the rosalies.

Also enjoy the Embrun aquatic center , with its various pools and its outdoor slide.

Tennis and padel fans can also rent one of the courts located 10 minutes walk from the campsite to train or compete in a friendly match on Sunday afternoons in August.

Fishermen  will love Serre Ponçon in any season because fishing is allowed all year round on the lake! They will also enjoy fishing in mountain streams or high altitude lakes.

Cyclists and motorcyclists can explore the winding roads of the canton where the mountains flow into Lake Serre Ponçon, or one of the many legendary passes in the department, such as the Col de l'Isoard.

Abbaye de Boscodon

-> CULTURE : the main monuments of the territory are marked by its religious past.

For example, discover the Boscodon Abbey in the town of Crots, nestled in the heart of the forest of the same name at an altitude of 1,150 metres and lovingly restored.

In Embrun, visit the Notre Dame du Réal Cathedral, one of the most important religious monuments in the French Alps. It was built during the transition between Roman and Gothic styles and is characterized by Lombard-inspired architecture.

Yoga Paddle Embrun

-> RELAXATION : relax on the campsite beach or take part in a yoga session with Marie on the pontoon in front of the Abri-Côtier (paddle yoga lessons on request).

Also enjoy a walk in the mountains to recharge your batteries and appreciate the relaxing calm of the forest.

You can also visit one of the spas in the surrounding hotels, open to the public for a moment of well-being, such as the one at the Château de la Robéyère Embrun or the Hotel des Bartavelles in Crots.

Marche Embrun

-> GASTRONOMY : the area is rich in small producers who will let you taste their fruit juices, honey, aromatic plants, wines, beers, meats, trout, eggs and dairy products... like at the Embrun market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings (free shuttles from the Plan d'Eau of Embrun)

Savor these local products at the Farandole du Gout or at the P'tite Grande Ferme, or take advantage of the idyllic setting by the lake to enjoy the fresh and creative cuisine of the Abri-Côtier every lunchtime in the summer and on weekend evenings.

-> WINTER : if the campsite and the sailing club are closed in winter, you can still come to one of our 3 chalets for 5/7 people or to our collective gite for 16 people to organize a trip to the mountains with family or friends, for a week or a weekend. So in Embrun, you will be in the heart of the valley, ideal for enjoying the 3 ski resorts of the Embrun region (20 to 30 minutes by car for each)

Les Orres ski

The Orres ski area  has 100 km of slopes in the heart of a larch forest and offers you all the services of a large resort: snowpark, entertainment, bars & nightlife, toboggan areas, non-skiing activities...

Our favorite: the Speedline, a giant zip line that propels you down the resort in 1m30 at 140 km/h! To try solo or in pairs from 8 years old.

Facing north, the Orres resort peaks at an altitude of 2,720 metres facing the Ecrins National Park and offers quality skiing from the beginning of December to mid-April.

Reallon ski

Réallon resort  has 30 km of slopes, overlooking Lake Serre Ponçon, and offers affordable family skiing, including a free carpet for beginners.

Our favorite: its natural Ripa toboggan run with a 600-meter drop

Its advantage is a full southern exposure that allows you to ski in the sun from the morning, much appreciated on cold January days! Thus the Réallon resort offers skiing from mid-December to the end of March.

Crevoux ski

Crévoux resort has 22 km of slopes, in the heart of a wild mountain, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. Little development but beautiful natural slopes for all levels. It also has the best Nordic area in the Embrunais with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing routes for everyone on the sunny plateau of La Chalp, ideal for your winter hiking desires.

Our favorite: its free ride offer in a very airy larch forest, highly appreciated by powder snow lovers.

Facing north, Crévoux resort welcomes skiers from mid-December to the end of March.
